Surfer Blood keep sounding better and better. They are quickly transitioning from a band I dismiss to a band that writes incredibly tight pop songs. Here’s Miranda from their forthcoming Tarot Classics EP.
Glad SLEEP ∞ OVER has ditched the obtuse bullshit and decided on injecting some much needed pop into her songs. This is from the upcoming Forever release, the track is called Romantic Streams. Download.
Art Is Hard are unleashing their sixth release, Dry Route To Devon, to coincide with their 1st birthday. It’s a compilation featuring heaps of up and coming bands from the UK’s South West and in true Art Is Hard style, it’s far more than just a compact disc or digital download.
The release itself is actually a double sided A3 map. On it is a map that points out the location of QR Codes that can be scanned with your phone to stream, learn more about and experience many other exclusive rad shit to do with the band from that location. For £3 you can get the map and and the compilation, for £13.45 you also get a Dry Route To Devon T-shirt as well.
There’s a multitude of blogs that are each hosting an exclusive track from the compilation to hype the release, and NEO//NOIR has a scuzzy, Shoegazey number from WeMakeNoises called Dead Or Scared.
Make sure you buy this release. Support the small labels doing shit the major labels wouldn’t ever think of doing. Here’s the link to purchase.
Beat Connection remixed The Drums' latest single, Money. And as expected, it’s really awesome. Beat Connection certainly have no trouble reworking others’ works in compelling and unique ways. Download.
This is the first song from my new side project, Yunō. It’s based off of a reoccurring dream I’ve been having about going to Disney World. The artwork also represents the dream. I’m not sure exactly what this project really is, but it’s fun.
