So this is my band.
We’re called Braves and we make Lo-Fi Pop (Shocking, I know.) with a strong focus on making it catchy above all else. Think early Cloud Nothings, think early The Cure, think about any pop band you once loved but can’t quite admit to yourself yet that their new stuff sucks. That’s the feeling we’re trying to capture.
And if you’re not normally a fan of Lo-Fi Pop… Well, we probably won’t change your mind.

Arcade Made have a new song out. It’s called Inches and it’s the first single from their forthcoming We Were Famous EP. These guys still don’t have the attention they deserve, so make sure you listen up and download.
Bloc Party share a new song, Day Four, from their forthcoming album, Four. It’s Bloc Party.
Oh, Oh, Ecstasy have a new mini EP out. It’s called Fridays On The Roof and it largely does away with their very Lo-Fi aesthetic for something clearer, punchier, and altogether, better. This is the title track, and you can get the whole thing for free here.
Bored Nothing is a dude from Australia who is currently one of the very few inside it releasing up-to-date music, not making shit barely keeping up with music trends from 2006-2008 and getting praised for it. He makes bedroom pop with a quality above almost anything in a similar vein you’ve heard before, think Coma Cinema quality. He has loads more jams on his Soundcloud, but this one is called Shit For Brains. Download.
Crystal Castles just released a new song. It’s called Plague. You know what to do. Download.
Black Marble trade their dark and gloomy sound for one that’s reminiscent of the first time you heard Sea Within A Sea and realised “Holy shit. Maybe The Horrors aren’t terrible after all!”. That’s not to say Black Marble were a bad band before, but this sparkly sound seems to agree with them more. The song is called A Great Design.
School Knights just released their free EP, appropriately titled FRE(EP). It’s got 7 Scuzz-Pop songs on it and Calling Friends is definitely a highlight. Check it out and download the rest of the EP here. Download.
